DESCRIPTION:Aboard a Mediterranean steamship around the turn of the 20th century\, Romano (Marcello Mastroianni)\, an aging\, once-wealthy Italian gentleman\, relates his tale of lost love to a Russian traveler. Weaving together multiple short stories by Chekhov\, this opulent\, ironic romance is graced with a quintessential\, Oscar®-nominated Mastroianni performance — by turns elegant\, impish and melancholy. This passionate performance won Mastroianni the Best Actor award at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival. \nThe film begins at 6:30\, so we’ll get together in the theatre lobby at 6:15. Tickets for seniors are $11.
