SPARKLE: The Road Less Traveled: A Writer's Workshop with writer Kenneth Weiss Wednesday, May 12 2pm-3.30pm
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both." Remember? That great poem by Robert Frost. He "...took the road less traveled by, and that made all the difference."Most of us, sometime ago, have taken a road less traveled by. Where was the road? Where did it go? Can you write it up in a page or so? If you can, you can read it in this workshop - a session on writing short memoirs. If you use Screen Share, you can show it as well. The instructor might read his tiny tale of a tattered trip to Topolobampo, Mexico, just 60 years ago.
Kenneth D. Weiss
writes memoirs, creative non-fiction and poetry, and translates from Spanish to English. His publications include a book of translated poetry, magazine articles and four books on importing and exporting. Ken is an active supporter of the annual book fair in Gaithersburg, Maryland and heads a Creative WritersGroup in that city. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees, has lived in six countries and traveled to about 80, and speaks three languages.
Wednesday May 12, 2:00-3:30.
