Join us for an afternoon of art making and art trading as we create and build our own artist trading card decks!

What are artist trading cards?
Artist trading cards (ATCs) are small pieces of art that are traded around the world. Using paint, pencil, ink, collage, stamps, mixed media, and more, you will create a series of art cards that express your creativity and imagination, all on a 2.5" x 3.5" background! Artist Trading Cards are a shared experience, and all artists will have the opportunity to admire and swap cards with one another to create and customize individual ATC decks.

 

CREATE will provide all the basic materials needed to create a beautiful array of artist trading cards. Participants are free to bring small objects and collage materials to add as well.

Taught by Allie Berg. Allie Berg is a Washington, DC watercolor and ink artist, and former professional photographer. She is drawn to the translucent nature of watercolors which can be used to create artworks that are both luminous and saturated with color. Allie prefers to paint in a naturalistic and realistic style, as influenced by her photography background. She is Acting Executive Director of the CREATE Arts Center, a nonprofit visual arts organization in downtown Silver Spring.
