Silver Spring Village's in-person book club will meet on the fourth Thursday afternoon of each month at 3:00 at the Brig. General Charles McGee Library at 900 Wayne Avenue.

On June 22 the book to be discussed will be Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande. How do we have those hard end-of-life discussions with doctors, nursing homes, and families, who struggle to cope and don’t know what to say? Riveting, honest, and humane, Being Mortal shows that the ultimate goal is not a good death but a good life – all the way to the very end.
