What is this?
On
Thursday, September 19th at 1:00 pm
, Village members will get together to view the latest
art shows at the Strathmore Mansion,
10701 Rockville Pike in North Bethesda (aka Rockville).
Three exhibitions will be featured. First,
"ARTFLOWS"
presents art, artifacts, and ephemera from 3 female doctors families' collections from African Americans, Caribbeans, and the African Diaspora. Next,
"IN THE COMPANY OF TREES"
which celebrates trees growing in forests, jungles, parks and yards across different continents and terrains. Lastly,
"FRAME OF REFERENCE"
by Taylor Sizemore whose realistic renderings of personal items such as cookbooks, and Chinese porcelains are layered in complex patterns to produce a multiple exposure effect.
We'll meet in the Mansion lobby.
Beverly Moss
is coordinating this event so contact her if you have questions. Carpools are encouraged so reach out to Beverly if you can offer to drive or need a ride.
Please register on the Village calendar
