Silver Spring Village, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt [501(c)(3)] organization that offers needed services and programs for older adults who wish to "age in place" -- to remain as long as possible in their own homes, amid familiar people and surroundings.  Like other Villages throughout the U.S. and abroad, our network of "neighbors helping neighbors" aims to support individuals and to strengthen the community in which they live.  Our Village opened on September 29, 2013.

The many benefits of participation in our Village are available to residents throughout our service area, ZIP code 20910which includes the commercial core of downtown Silver Spring, MD and the neighborhoods that surround it.  We are enrolling members and volunteers NOW, and we will do so on an ongoing basis.

Our Village combines elements of an elderly cooperative, a social club, and a concierge service. It links members to volunteers who can help with transportation, home maintenance, errands, and ordinary household tasks that have become difficult or unsafe. Our Village-sponsored educational and social activities provide information, stimulation, and socialization.  In addition, our Village offers referrals to professional services and an array of negotiated discounts with local shops and businesses.
If you live in or near downtown Silver Spring, we hope to hear from you soon!

Please call us at (301) 503-7401 or email us at if you are ready to get involved, if you have any questions, or if you would like to join our mailing list. Please include your name, street address with ZIP code, phone number, and email in all correspondence.
