Silver Spring Village, Inc. is a nonprofit, tax-exempt [501(c)(3)] organization that offers needed services and programs for adults who wish to "age in place" -- to remain as long as possible in their own homes, amid familiar people and surroundings, and engaged in the community.  Our network of "neighbors helping neighbors" supports individuals and also builds a sense of community. Mirroring the neighborhoods within our service area, Silver Spring Village is a welcoming organization with a diverse membership and volunteer corps.

The many benefits of participation in our Village are available to residents throughout our service area, ZIP code 20910which includes the commercial core of downtown Silver Spring, MD and the neighborhoods that surround it. We are enrolling members and volunteers NOW, and we will do so on an ongoing basis. Our Village links members to volunteers who can help with transportation, home maintenance, errands, and ordinary household tasks that have become difficult or unsafe. Our Village-sponsored educational and social activities provide information, stimulation, and fun.  In addition, our Village offers referrals to professional services and an array of negotiated discounts at local shops and businesses. Participation by a diverse mix of residents within our defined geographic area enhances the quality of life for the entire community.
