
In May 2023, the U.S. Surgeon General highlighted a public health crisis of loneliness and isolation among older adults that greatly increasing the risks for heart disease, stroke, and dementia. These risks are particularly damaging among marginalized groups and those who are aging solo. The Village addresses this by offering nearly 1,000 activities annually that promote connection, and that support intellectual growth, healthy living, and creativity. Nearly all activities are free and some are open to the public.
