Beverly Lunsford, Ph.D

Beverly, a retired nurse with a PhD from The Catholic University of America, was an assistant professor at The George Washington University School of Nursing and directed the university’s Center for Aging, Health and Humanities. She provided education and conducted research on palliative care and gerontology, advocating for the integration of humanities and creative arts into healthcare for a more person-centered approach. Beverly has been active in the Village since 2019, serving on the board as secretary and now president. She has participated in the Programs Committee and developed diversity, equity and inclusion measurement tools for Village programs.
