SPARKLE: Sharing Your Oral History Through Media With Youth Action Media
November 13 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
You are invited to Sharing Your Oral History Through Media Arts, hosted by Lynn Hughes, Edgar Romero and Molly Dedham.
The real record of history is found in the lives of ordinary people who lived it—each one of us. In this digital age, we’re losing our talent for passing on our stories. Let Youth Action Media teach you how to create an oral history story to share with your family.
Lynn Hughes is an award-winning producer, writer and director whose career creating media spans more than 20 years. Her expertise in developing non-fiction programming includes recent series on Apple, Disney+, and HBO.
Edgar Romero is a filmmaker passionate about the transformative power of storytelling. Edgar’s journey began with a personal project: a short documentary about a youth program that profoundly impacted his life. Edgar’s work focuses on reflecting and shaping our realities by highlighting stories of resilience, hope, and a brighter future.
Molly Dedham is a film enthusiast, radio personality, film blogger and video producer. Molly hosted BROADMINDED, a national talk show on Sirius XM for eight years. Molly gets to the heart of any story with humor.
