Connie’s health and communications career included twelve years in public health for the headquarters of the Veterans Health Administration and 26 years at the National Institutes of Health focusing on chronic disease. She holds an MPH and a certificate in gerontology from the University of Maryland and a BA in English literature from Carleton College. She has served on Holy Cross Hospital’s Patient Family Advisory Council since 2019 and is active in qualitative health research and program evaluation. She joined the Village in 2013 where she volunteers for errands and rides, leads the Stitchers For Good group, and edits the Village Vibe. She has served as the Village’s president, vice president, and secretary. Connie and her husband have lived in Silver Spring since 1985.
