Douglas Gaddis

Doug became the Village’s first full-time executive director in September 2019, bringing over three decades of nonprofit management experience, including 19 years as chief resource development director for a $25 million organization in Montgomery County. He held leadership roles at Interfaith Works, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, and the Higher Achievement Program, and also worked as a fundraising consultant. Doug is actively engaged in his community, serving on various boards and committees, including the Washington Area Villages Exchange. He studied nonprofit arts administration at The American University and has a BM in voice performance with a minor in German from the University of Kentucky. Doug also holds a graduate gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America and a certification from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. He is a graduate of Maryland Nonprofits’ inaugural Leadership Accelerator Program. Doug and his husband live in Kensington and consider Paris, France their second home.
