After retiring from the Government Accountability Office in 2005, Laurie has worked as a consultant teaching for USAID and the World Bank in multiple overseas locations and designing evaluations for public and private organizations. She recently completed a term on the Montgomery County Police Advisory Commission. Laurie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and an MS and PhD from Florida State University. She has been a proud member of the Village since 2016.
